Hawking sends money after I complain online about mail in rebate

After complaining online last week about my Hawking router (compatibility issues with my ISP, recalled by the government, and never got my mail in rebate money), I was surprised to get a cheque for $55usd from Hawking on Friday.

The only explanation I can think of is that someone at Hawking read my post and decided to send me some money to make things better. The $55 usd isn't my mail in rebate money - they owed me nearly $100 cdn (around $85-90 usd), but given that I had lost all hope of getting any money out of them, I'm happy.

I'd appreciate any advice offered on what type of wireless router to buy. I'll be buying a replacement for the Hawking HWR54G later this week.
